Bring Me The Horizon Warned About Palestinian Flag Controversy

WHAT THEY SAID

Bring Me The Horizon were warned that displaying Palestinian flags onstage at Reading and Leeds festivals in 2025 would "most likely carry career ending consequences."^‡ Frontman Oli Sykes did it anyway, and the threat became the inspiration for the band's new deathcore track "Dehumanized."^*, ^‡

THE DETAILS

The band waved Palestinian flags during their festival sets despite being told it could end their career^*, ^†
Sykes has publicly discussed the warnings and the band's decision to proceed with what he called a peaceful gesture^†, ^‡
The incident directly inspired lyrics for "Dehumanized," their new deathcore track^*, ^‡
The warnings came from unnamed sources — the band hasn't specified who delivered the threat^*

WHO IS RIGHT

The band is right. Waving a flag in solidarity with civilians isn't a career-ender unless you let cowards with leverage make it one, and Bring Me The Horizon called that bluff and turned it into a song.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The track is out and the band's career continues — the warnings were empty.
