THE NEWS
Carrie Underwood has been covering Guns N' Roses onstage for years — including "Welcome to the Jungle" on nearly every date of her Denim & Rhinestones tour, in a leather jacket bearing the *Appetite for Destruction* artwork *. Now TMZ reports she's working on a rock album with Axl Rose personally advising her †. Neither Underwood nor Rose has confirmed it, and no album has been announced †.
THE LEGACY
- Underwood spent years asking Rose to share a stage before he showed up at Stagecoach in 2022 for "Sweet Child O' Mine" and "Paradise City" *.
- Guns N' Roses brought her out at two London shows that same year, and she opened for the band in 2023 *, †.
- She joined them again at Truist Park in Atlanta on Sept. 19, singing "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child O' Mine" †.
- "Thanks, @axlrose duffmckagan @slash @dizzyfnreed @4tus @isaaccarpenter and the whole crew for having us and for letting me try and keep up on stage!" †
- She's also covered Mötley Crüe, Aerosmith, Skid Row and Ozzy's "Mama, I'm Coming Home," and cut a 2024 version of Papa Roach's "Leave a Light On" *.
- Her Sept. 5 Velocity Festival set in Iowa included Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Collective Soul and Linkin Park songs †.
WHY IT MATTERS
Plenty of pop and country singers name-drop rock records; far fewer put "Welcome to the Jungle" in the set list night after night and get invited back by the band four separate times. Right now this is a TMZ report and a real live history — not a record, not a tracklist, not a word from either party †.
