WHAT WENT DOWN
Will Ramos walked onstage at Hellfest and performed "Antivist" with Bring Me The Horizon — disguised at first as just another fan pulled from the crowd. Oli Sykes introduced him with the usual warning to be nice even if he's terrible, then handed the mic to one of deathcore's most recognizable voices.*, †
THE DETAILS
- Ramos joined BMTH mid-set during their June 18 headliner in Clisson, France, tackling the *Sempiternal* track the band routinely opens to the audience.*, †
- Sykes played it straight, presenting Ramos as a random festivalgoer before the Lorna Shore frontman took over.†
- Ramos told the crowd he might mess it up and asked for help; the band has previously brought out Bad Omens' Noah Sebastian (London, 2024) and Sleep Token's IV (Australia, 2024) for the same song.†
- BMTH is deep into a European run and prepping a full re-recording of *Count Your Blessings* for its 20th anniversary.*
THE TAKE
Bringing out a peer instead of a fan turns the bit into something closer to a nod between working bands than a crowd stunt. Ramos has spent the last two years headlining his own tours; watching him pretend to fumble through a song he could sing in his sleep is the joke.*, †
