THE ANNOUNCEMENT
"The Sea Of Memories" was never the Bush record anybody argued about, and now it's getting the full deluxe treatment for its 15th anniversary *†. Nine bonus tracks, fresh 2026 remaster, and a bonus 12-inch of extras that's more interesting than the reissue itself *.
THE DETAILS
- Out September 25 via earMUSIC, with newly remastered 2026 audio *
- The 2011 original ran 12 tracks, from "The Mirror Of The Signs" to "Be Still My Love," and gave up singles "The Sound Of Winter" and "Baby Come Home" *
- Two physical formats: a deluxe 2CD jewelcase and a limited 180g 3LP gatefold *
- On vinyl, LPs 1 and 2 carry the remastered album while LP3 is a bonus 12-inch holding all nine extras *
- Bonus material includes a cover of "Love Will Tear Us Apart," a Junior Sanchez remix of "The Sound Of Winter," a Washroom & Bass Over Babylon remix of "The Afterlife," a live "Landslide" from the Bridge School Benefit, and an acoustic "Float" *
- Gavin Rossdale's vocals are pitched as the record's defining element *
WHY IT MATTERS
ANNIVERSARY: this was Bush's return record, the one that proved Rossdale still had a band and not just a back catalog. The surprise here is that the bonus disc leans on Joy Division, Fleetwood Mac and club remixes instead of the usual demo-and-rough-mix padding.
