Forget the slow news week, because we’re still dropping bangers! This week on Let’s Get Heavy, we’re ripping into new tracks from Like Moths to Flames and Northlane, plus a massive shout-out to Pillars’ latest single. Get ready for some seriously opinionated metalcore and djent talk! 🔥
LET’S GET HEAVY:
▸ The crew gives a massive shout-out to Pillars’ new single “Blind Lives,” produced by Dan Thabbit and Alan.
▸ One host praises Alan’s extensive work with bands like Wage War, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Mastodon, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
▸ The band’s first time working with a producer has been an “incredible learning experience.”
▸ New Like Moths to Flames single “Where the Quiet Devours Me” and EP “Does Heaven Ever Mourn for Me?” (out Sept 18) are produced by Landon Tewers of The Plot In You.
▸ One host is ecstatic about the new track’s “panic chords” and recommends their album “Dark Divine” as a jumping-in point for new listeners.
▸ The crew praises Like Moths to Flames’ lead singer Chris for being “super down to earth” and always engaging with fans at shows.
▸ Northlane’s new single “Cut It” is a return to form after the electronic “Evian,” but still brings something different.
▸ One host calls it a “Franken song” with “grungy metal” vibes, blending Deftones-heavy sounds with a Fred Durst-like “rappy scream.”
▸ The new album “Anomia” is executive produced by Jordan Fish, who the hosts agree consistently brings “uniqueness” to every band he works with.
▸ Buster Odeholm (Humanity’s Last Breath) is also mixing the new tracks, a huge name in the djent and death metal world.
▸ The crew is hyped for “Anomia,” predicting a “roller coaster of an album.”
