Kid Rock & Eminem Team Up to Prove Friendship Beats Politics

WHAT THEY SAID

"I'm proud of the guests who joined me, especially my old friend Eminem." * That is Kid Rock in the foreword to his new album, explaining why Marshall Mathers turns up on a record with a Christian rock framing. Kid Rock says the two differ politically and otherwise but have stayed friends anyway, and he hopes the song gives estranged friends and family something to think about *†.

THE DETAILS

  • The album is called Halfway to Jesus, out October 17th, 2026, with Eminem guesting on the track "7 Sins" *.
  • Kid Rock posted the cover and tracklist on October 1st, 2026, and said the official video for lead single "James 1:17 (Jesus is King)" would premiere that night *.
  • The foreword excerpt was reported by Complex and picked up by Consequence on October 3rd, 2026 *.
  • Kid Rock has backed Donald Trump, while Eminem torched Trump in his 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle *.
  • These two go back: Eminem guested on "Fuck Off" from 1998's Devil Without a Cause, and Kid Rock appeared in the "Berzerk" video in 2013 *.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Nobody has heard the Eminem verse yet, so whether it actually carries the message Kid Rock claims stays open until October 17th.
