THE DROP
PRESIDENT have dropped a nine-song live session filmed at Rockfield Studios in Wales, pulling from both the debut EP "King Of Terrors" and debut album "Blood Of Your Empire" *, †. It's a full in-studio set, not a one-song promo clip — nine songs from a band still on its first album cycle †.
WHAT TO KNOW
- The session is titled "Live From Rockfield Studios" and was filmed in-studio rather than at a venue *, †.
- Setlist draws on the "King Of Terrors" EP and debut album "Blood Of Your Empire," out now via Atlantic Records *.
- Rock Sound describes the footage as intimate, with cameras placed right on top of the performers *.
- Rock Sound's Jack Rogers called it "genuinely, sensational," praising a recording that's "punishing, powerful and poignant" *.
- PRESIDENT are on the cover of the current issue of Rock Sound *.
THE TAKE
Committing your entire catalog to a live-off-the-floor session at Rockfield this early is a flex — there's nowhere to hide when the cameras are that close and the songs are that new. A band with one EP and one album has barely nine songs to give, which makes this less a highlight reel and more a full accounting of what PRESIDENT actually are.
