Motörhead’s ‘Kiss of Death’ 20th Anniversary Reissue Coming July

BMG is rolling out a proper 20th anniversary treatment for Motörhead's *Kiss of Death*, hitting shelves July 3, 2026 ^*†. The album—originally the band's 18th studio effort back in 2006—captured the classic trio of Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell, and Mikkey Dee at full throttle, with guest firepower from Alice In Chains bassist Mike Inez and Poison's C.C. DeVille ^*†. Tracks like "Sucker," "Trigger," and the crushing "God Was Never On Your Side" reminded everyone that Motörhead never slowed down, never softened, and never apologized ^*.

This reissue comes with the respect the record deserves: half-speed mastering from the original tapes, fresh liner notes by Classic Rock's Dave Ling that honor the late Phil Campbell, and a new lyric video for "God Was Never On Your Side" created by Andy Pilkington ^*†. Campbell, who died in March 2026 at 64, was Motörhead's sole guitarist for the band's final two decades and appeared on legendary albums from *Orgasmatron* to *Bastards* ^*. The vinyl edition sweetens the deal with a bonus live LP from Motörhead's blistering 2007 Lowlands festival set in the Netherlands, while CD buyers get three extra tracks including studio and live versions of "R.A.M.O.N.E.S." plus a cover of Metallica's "Whiplash" ^*†.
