THE ANNOUNCEMENT
Parkway Drive put a black-tie, fully seated, orchestra-backed show in the Sydney Opera House for 2,000 people, paid for it themselves at a budget comparable to a full European arena tour, and filmed the whole thing *. Winston McCall also rappelled roughly 65 meters from a helicopter onto a platform about 60 centimeters wide on the Opera House sails *. Now it hits cinemas, with a live album right behind it.

WHY IT MATTERS
BUCKET LIST: one night, 2,000 seats, no barrier, no crowd surfers, and McCall still called it the loudest show the Opera House has ever had *. A band funding its own symphonic Opera House set out of pocket is not how this usually goes.
