THE ANNOUNCEMENT
Cheap Trick pulled their 2027 dates quietly, fans panicked, and the band had to go on social media to say nobody is sick ‡. After more than 6,000 shows, they are finally taking a breather: "we've decided to take some time off after decades of touring because we need a break. Not for health reasons." *, †, § Ten November shows, then that is it for the foreseeable future.

- The final run opens November 5 at the Clyde Theatre in Fort Wayne and wraps November 22 at Sound Board Theater in Detroit †, ‡
- Ten shows total before the hiatus, with no end date given ‡
- Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort had already posted a cancellation notice for a February 13 show citing unspecified time off *

WHY IT MATTERS
BUCKET LIST: this is ten theater shows and then an open ended silence from a band that has never stopped in 50 years. What is strange is the timing, they just put out album 21 and in March Tom Petersson was saying they would keep going until they drop §.
