THE DROP
Corrosion Of Conformity have put out a live-in-studio video of "Baad Man" and "Lose Yourself" filmed at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, also released as a two-song digital single called "Sweetwater Throwdown" *. Both tracks come off disc two of the double album "Good God / Baad Man," which the band has now remixed in Sweetwater's Dolby Atmos room *, †.
WHAT TO KNOW
- "Good God / Baad Man" landed in April via Nuclear Blast, produced by Grammy winner Warren Riker *.
- Recorded at Blak Shak Studios, Dockside Studios in Louisiana, and Barry Gibb's home studio in Miami *.
- Stanton Moore cut the album's drums, as he did on 2005's "In The Arms Of God" *.
- Touring drummer Nick Shabatura came via a Charlie Benante recommendation. Moore's verdict: "That's your guy for the road. He's awesome." *
- Co-headline run with The Sword, Hippie Death Cult supporting, November 2 in Buffalo through November 19 in Pensacola *.
THE TAKE
A live-off-the-floor session is the honest test for a lineup this new, and COC agreeing to film one with Landgraf and Shabatura says they trust what the rhythm section is doing. The Atmos remix feels like the lesser story here: two songs played in a room with no fixes is the part worth your time.
