Architects Always Creating New Music, Says Sam Carter

Architects Always Creating New Music, Says Sam Carter

Architects aren’t slowing down — not even for a breath. Frontman Sam Carter stopped by Loudwire Nights on May 14 to talk about the band’s recent American tour dates, and he made it crystal clear that the UK metalcore giants are always in creative mode *. Carter revealed that he and drummer Dan Searle are constantly bouncing musical ideas back and forth rather than carving out formal writing sessions, letting the band live with material over time to separate the keepers from the throwaways *. It’s a process that’s clearly working: their track “Everything Ends” from *The Sky, The Earth & All Between* just hit number one on U.S. rock radio, a milestone Carter called a “game changer” that’s exposing Architects to a whole new wave of listeners *.

The American success is especially sweet for a band that’s already conquered their home turf with multiple number one albums in the UK and massive shows at Wembley, the O2, and Co-op Manchester *. Carter gushed about the 2025 U.S. tour, calling it one of his favorite American experiences, and pushed back against the European perception that America is intimidating *. His take? Americans are friendly and welcoming, and if you want the real local flavor in any city, just talk to the taxi drivers *. It’s that kind of down-to-earth curiosity that keeps Carter grounded — he says he actively tries to stay connected to his teenage self despite all the professional pressures that come with being in a globally successful band *.

The bottom line is that Architects are firing on all cylinders right now, riding high on U.S. rock radio while simultaneously cooking up whatever comes next. If Carter’s comments are any indication, the band’s creative engine never shuts off — and that’s exactly how the fans want it *.
