WHAT WENT DOWN
Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates stopped the band mid-song at The Criterion in Oklahoma City to have a security guard thrown out after the guard appeared to swing at a fan coming over the barrier §. The show resumed once the guard was gone *.
THE DETAILS
- The stoppage happened Monday, October 5th, 2026, during "Keep It Moving," about three-quarters through the set *, §, ¶.
- Yates jumped to the floor to pull the guard off the fan, then spoke to the remaining security staff §.
- Bassist Franz Lyons came down to the floor too, still holding his bass §.
- From the mic: "That security guard cannot be here. We won't play if he's still here." *
- Yates thanked the rest of the security team and limited the complaint to the one guard ¶.

A band with enough leverage to stop a room and get a staffer removed used it inside about a minute. The guard's identity, employer, and any venue response have not been reported, and the tour runs through October 18th in Santa Ana §.
