My Chemical Romance Announce 'Danger Days' Deluxe Reissue

My Chemical Romance just made it official — the Killjoys are coming back in deluxe form. After teasing fans with a cryptic Instagram post featuring the iconic Danger Days spider logo tucked inside the Roman numeral XV and a one-word caption reading "Tomorrow," the band has announced a full deluxe reissue of their 2010 post-apocalyptic rock opera *§. Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys (Deluxe Edition) drops July 10th through Reprise Records, packing remastered versions of the original album plus nine bonus tracks that have never been available on physical formats — many of which will hit vinyl for the first time §. The bonus material includes a BBC Radio 1 recording of "Na Na Na," and physical editions will span everything from 2xLP picture discs and zoetrope vinyl to cassettes and CDs §.

The timing makes perfect sense when you look at MCR's current tour cycle. They've been riding the Black Parade 20th anniversary wave since kicking off that tour a year early in 2025, and they just tore through The Black Parade in its entirety at Welcome to Rockville on May 10th *. With Sonic Temple coming up on May 14th in Columbus and a month-long break before European dates launch in Liverpool on June 30th, the band's clearly got space to celebrate their last pre-hiatus studio album *. A special BL/ind tour edition vinyl will be available exclusively at select tour stops between July 10th and October 31st, including their Halloween shows at the Hollywood Bowl — which, interestingly, are being promoted with Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge imagery rather than Black Parade visuals *§.

The deluxe treatment for Danger Days feels long overdue for an album that took the band's theatrical ambitions into full sci-fi territory with its California wasteland narrative §. While most of their 2026 shows have carried the Black Parade 2026 Tour branding, this reissue proves MCR hasn't forgotten about the Killjoys era, even if Danger Days technically celebrated its 15th anniversary back in 2025 *. Between wiping their X account clean in February before their final Latin American show and staying radio silent on Facebook since September 2025, the band's social media strategy has been as unpredictable as ever — making yesterday's Instagram tease all the more effective *.
