WHAT WENT DOWN
Quebec prog duo Angine de Poitrine made their UK television debut on *Later… with Jools Holland*, performing two tracks from their April 2026 album *Vol. II* in full polka-dot papier-mâché regalia *, †. Shania Twain appeared on the same episode and told Holland her son got her into the band *.
THE DETAILS
- Khn and Klek performed "Fabienk" and "Sarniezz" during their UK tour stop, with Khn using a pedal board painted to match their polka-dotted feet †
- The "Fabienk" performance started from the groovy middle section rather than the opening riff, while "Sarniezz" ran in full †
- Twain performed "You're Still The One" and a Hank Williams cover with Holland on piano, then praised Khn's signature yellow yarn hair *
- When Holland introduced the duo as 300 years old, Khn corrected him — they're 333 *
- The microtonal math-rock act went viral after a February 2026 KEXP session and is touring North America through fall †
THE TAKE
A Quebecois duo in papier-mâché outfits correcting Jools Holland's age estimate by 33 years while Shania Twain admires the yarn hair is exactly the kind of absurdity that makes late-night music television worth watching. *Vol. II* landed on Consequence's best-of-April list three months ago †.
