Poppy Unleashes Aggressive ‘Dying to Forget’ Video with Knocked Loose

THE DROP
Poppy just dropped the video for "Dying to Forget" off *Empty Hands*, and she brought Knocked Loose guitarist Isaac Hale and House of Protection's Stephen Harrison along for the ride — both as co-writers and on-screen collaborators ^*, ^‡. The warehouse mosh pit setting and screamed verses make it clear this isn't pop-Poppy anymore ^‡.

WHAT TO KNOW

Hale and Harrison share writing credits and appear masked in the video alongside Poppy's band ^*, ^‡
The track contrasts screamed verses with melodic choruses ^‡
Video features industrial warehouse scenes, real moshers, and Poppy punching through giant eggshells ^*
Poppy's Constantly Nowhere tour kicks off July 7 in DC with LVNDMARKS and Thousand Below ^*

THE TAKE
When a pop artist pulls in the Knocked Loose camp to co-write, you're either getting a watered-down crossover attempt or something legitimately heavy — the screamed verses suggest Poppy's leaning into the latter ^‡. Harrison's post-Fever 333 trajectory landing here is the more interesting story, and the warehouse aesthetic backs up what the credits promise ^*, ^‡.
