The Hu is dropping their third album *Hun* on July 24, 2026 via Better Noise Music — 11 tracks rooted in Mongolian lore and a new single featuring Nothing More’s Jonny Hawkins called “Lost Soul” *. The catch: Hawkins only appears on the digital version, so if you’re buying physical, you’re getting a different tracklist *. They’re calling it “Hunnu rock transcending through culture,” which is a fancy way of saying they’re still doing what they do best: throat singing meets heavy riffs *.

WHY IT MATTERS
BUCKET LIST — The Hu became the first metal band recognized by UNESCO as an Artist For Peace, which puts them in company with artists like Herbie Hancock and Celine Dion, not exactly the usual headbangers *. The digital-versus-physical split on “Lost Soul” is an odd choice that feels more like a streaming-era compromise than an artistic decision.
