Four Slipknot members recorded a full album in 2008, shelved it because it didn't sound like Slipknot, and now—18 years later—it's finally getting a proper worldwide release ^†. Look Outside Your Window was supposed to stay a Record Store Day exclusive, but the 10-track project featuring Clown, Corey Taylor, Jim Root, and Sid Wilson drops on physical formats June 12 ^†. WHY IT MATTERS

BUCKET LIST. This is the only chance to hear what half of peak-era Slipknot sounded like when they deliberately weren't trying to be Slipknot—material deemed too different to release under the band name. Seven variants for a shelved side project from 2008 is absolutely ridiculous, but at least the music exists now instead of rotting in a vault forever.
