Pearl Jam Announce First Show Since Matt Cameron Departure at Ohana Fest

Pearl Jam just confirmed their first show since Matt Cameron’s departure, and it’s happening at Eddie Vedder’s own Ohana Festival this September. The band will headline the tenth-anniversary edition of the Dana Point beach fest, running September 25–27, 2026, alongside Tyler Childers, Maná, Pixies, and an “Eddie Vedder & Friends” set *. This marks Pearl Jam’s first announced live performance of 2026 and their first time onstage since Cameron amicably left the band in July 2025 after 27 years behind the kit . The elephant in the room? Pearl Jam still hasn’t announced who’s sitting on the drum throne—Mike McCready said back in April that the band was “still discussing their next move” on a permanent replacement .

Cameron joined Pearl Jam in 1998 and his exit leaves a massive hole to fill, though the band has options—when he had Covid in 2022, they rotated through Dave Krusen, John Klinghoffer, and Richard Stuverud as fill-ins . Whether one of those guys gets the permanent gig or Pearl Jam brings in someone entirely new remains the biggest question heading into Ohana. The festival itself has become a staple since Vedder founded it in 2016, racking up four Pollstar Music Festival of the Year awards in the under-30,000 attendance category, most recently in 2026 *. Beyond the music, Ohana features environmental programming through The Cove area and an art gallery with proceeds benefiting nonprofits via the Vitalogy Foundation *.

Tickets hit presale for Ten Club members on May 12 at 10 a.m. PT, with general presale starting May 14 at noon PT *. The lineup runs deep with more than 30 artists across three stages, including Alabama Shakes, Fontaines D.C., Rilo Kiley, Bad Religion, Billy Idol, Jon Batiste, and Courtney Barnett *. For fans wondering if Pearl Jam can still bring it without their longtime drummer, Ohana will be the first real test—and given the stakes of a tenth-anniversary show at Vedder’s own festival, you can bet they’ll come ready to prove it.
