Mötley Crüe Unveil ‘Crücial Crüe’ Box Set and Trading Card Deal
Mötley Crüe is going all-in on their 45th anniversary with a massive box set, a summer stadium tour, and — because it's 2026 — trading cards *†. BMG will drop the *Crücial Crüe 1981-1989* limited-edition collection on July 10, packaging the band's first five studio albums as 5LP picture discs, 5CD picture disc replicas, and an ultra-limited 250-unit hand-numbered Crüeseum exclusive *. Those five records — *Too Fast For Love*, *Shout At The Devil*, *Theatre Of Pain*, *Girls Girls Girls*, and *Dr. Feelgood* — have moved 30 million copies worldwide and racked up platinum certifications ranging from one-times to six-times in the U.S. alone *. If you're a completist, the Crüeseum will also carry the *Crüe 45 RPM – The Singles Collection*, another hand-numbered limited run *.
The Crüe will hit the road for *The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins* tour, a 35-city North American trek kicking off July 17, 2026 in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania and running through September with Extreme and Tesla in tow *. It's their first extensive tour in two years and marks the 20th anniversary of the original 2006 *Carnival Of Sins* run *. A dollar from every ticket goes to the After School Arts Program through the band's Giveback Initiative *. The tour comes after Vince Neil's health scare — he suffered a stroke on Christmas night 2024 that left him unable to get out of bed, part of a series of strokes he revealed in September 2025 — which pushed the band's Vegas residency from spring to fall last year *. John 5 remains on guitar after replacing Mick Mars in fall 2022; Mars, now 75 and battling Ankylosing Spondylitis, retired from touring and later sued the band in April 2023, claiming they tried to cut him out as a stakeholder *.
Meanwhile, Global Merchandising Services and Japan's Epoch Company are launching a Mötley Crüe trading card collection in December 2026 across North America †. The set will feature hand-signed cards and memorabilia inserts with concert-used guitar picks, drumsticks, and lanyards, distributed through hobby shops, specialty retailers, and major outlets †. Preview cards hit Licensing Expo at booth B170 †. It's a fitting cash-in for a band that's sold over 100 million albums, racked up nearly 10 billion streams, and commands 9.5 million social media followers †. The Crüe signed to Big Machine Records in 2024 and dropped the single "Dogs Of War" after wrapping a two-year world stadium tour in late 2023 †.
